What is a Guided Wine Tasting ($65)?
Sosie Wines, McKinney Family Vineyards, & Red Car Wine will each hold a Guided Wine Tasting. During these three tastings, enjoy a selection of the winery's finest — from bold reds to crisp whites! Guided by experts from each winery, you'll learn about the wine-making process, the terroir, and pairing suggestions to elevate every sip. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, these tastings are an unforgettable way to deepen your appreciation for world-class wines in a stunning cruise setting. These three guided tastings are paid experiences and will be sold separately.
What is a Self-Guided Wine Tasting ($45)?
Sosie Wines, McKinney Family Vineyards, & Red Car Wine will each offer a Self-Guided Wine Tasting. These Self-Guided Wine Tastings will each be offered in the exclusive Chefs Making Waves Speakeasy, The Secret Sauce. Simply grab a flight, and be provided with detailed information about each wine, including tasting notes, and more! Indulge and learn at your own pace!
This Self-Guided Tasting includes a flight from the winery of your choice and a commemorative Chefs Making Waves wine chalice! Purchase via Sixthman Accounts. Pre-purchased Self-Guided Wine Tastings are limited. Any onboard purchases of a Self-Guided Wine Tasting will not come with a commemorative chalice.
What is the difference between the Guided and Self-Guided Wine Tastings?
Both Guided and Self-Guided Tastings give you the opportunity to taste amazing wines from either Sosie Wines, McKinney Family Vineyards, & Red Car Wine + both Guided and Self-Guided tastings come with a commemorative Chefs Making Waves chalice!
The Guided Wine Tastings are scheduled tastings that include guidance from experts from each winery — preview the location and time for each on The Chefs Making Waves Schedule. Additionally, the Guided Wine Tastings come with a cheese plate.
The Self-Guided Tastings are offered at your convenience during The Secret Sauce's hours, plus you'll be provided with information from the winery to review with each sip.

What is the step-by-step process to purchase a Guided or Self-Guided Wine Tasting?

2. Click on your Chefs Making Waves reservation.
3. Scroll down! You'll see these add-on options.
Please note: there is both a Self-Guided AND Guided Wine Tasting. Be sure to make the right selection!
4. Add to your booking & pay!
What if the Guided or Self-Guided Wine Tastings sell out?
Once the Guided Wine Tastings sell out, no additional tastings/seats will be released.
Depending on inventory, additional Self-Guided Wine Tastings may be available to purchase on board within the Secret Sauce. Onboard purchases of a Self-Guided Wine Tasting will not come with a commemorative chalice.
Additionally, Tasting Tickets will be available to purchase within The Secret Sauce (Bliss, Deck 7 AFT) while supplies last. Tickets each hold a $10 value, and the cost of a single tasting will vary based on the rarity of the selection.
Do I need to purchase a Guided or Self-Guided Wine Tasting to taste the wine?
No, you do not need to purchase a package to taste the wine. You can partake in single tastings of wine. Tasting Tickets will be available for purchase within The Secret Sauce (Bliss, Deck 7 AFT) while supplies last. Tickets each hold a $10 value, and the cost of a single tasting will vary based on the rarity of the selection.
